Coming into a university with a student body population as large and diverse as Texas A&M’s, I was so nervous whether I would find my home away from home. At first, I didn’t even see myself joining a sorority, let alone rushing one. My friends had initially told me to rush Rho, but I wasn’t fond of the idea of joining a sorority due to the stereotypes. However, the girls messaging me were so sweet, so I decided to come out to one of the events. I instantly fell in love with Rho and everyone was so warm and welcoming. I have met a plethora of different personalities and backgrounds and those differences and our diversity has only strengthened us further. I’ve found the people who support me and give me the confidence to pursue my goals, whether that be towards my career, or within Rho. I honestly never saw myself becoming President due to the amount of responsibility it requires, but my sisters are the ones who gave me the confidence and courage to pursue my goal of becoming President. Seeing how I was a wild freshmen enjoying my college freedom to now becoming President of this sorority is only thanks to those around me who supported me and gave me the courage to step into the unknown. Now, as President I want to give back to the sorority as much as possible and allow it to blossom into a sisterhood that everyone and our founders cherish and are proud of. I would love to give back the support and love younger me once received back to the newer classes so that they can grow into the ladies they wish to be. I am so excited for our Fall ’25 Rush and cannot wait to welcome Beta Theta with open arms and love!
